I really like having choices of a variety of foods that normally contain animal products. Its actually fun to try the fake meat stuff. I will say that we really enjoyed it! We had the spicy basil chicken and the beef broccoli and lettuce wraps. It was really delicious! The fake meat was not chewy or scary. Also the server was polite but quiet. Oh and we tried the vegan chocolate cake which was nice.
I will definitely be going back here again. The portions are large and plenty to share with friends. I highly recommend trying this place!
No complaints!
I've eaten here several times while I've lived in San Diego. From my experience, their food is hit or miss. It really does depend on what you order. Some of their stuff is bland, some of their stuff is really good. They do have a lot to choose from, which is rare for a vegetarian to have (I was vegetarian for three years, and most restaurants I went to had one or two options).
All of the main dishes are $8.85 for dinner and comes in a huge portion, so that's good. Last night I went and I got the Grand Vegetable Paella which pretty much reminded me of fried rice, but I'm not complaining because it was good. My friend got the vegetarian pho which was really.. odd tasting in my opinion. It was too citrus-y.
Anyway, overall, I like Sipz. It's one of those places that I don't mind coming back over and over because I know what to expect, it's cheap, and the food usually falls in the range of okay to good. The one thing that I really wish that they would change is their annoying habit of changing every s into a z! Please stop it, my eyes hurt.
I'm not gonna lie...I'm a meat eater and proud of it. Take THAT, PETA people. No matter how hard you try, I need my meat, dammit.
So when my sister and one of my closest NON-Yelp friends insisted on coming here, I was like..."Uh, isn't that a vegetarian place???"
And they were like, "Oh no! You can get stuff that tastes like chicken!"
Me- "So it's pseudo-chicken?" WTF. Whatevs.
Unfortunately, majority rules so I had to go along with them.
It's in the same shopping center as VIP Oriental Buffet, and the decor is pretty standard asian style- well, except for the huge LA graffiti-looking wall mural of a fish and I don't remember what else. My nephew liked it so it's all good.
We ordered the Cali Roll (medium size rolls seasame coated, cut into 6 pcs with "crab", cucumber and avocado).
For the main course we had Thai Curry Chicken (a flavorful coconut curry dish incl. eggplant, potato, onions, bamboo shoots and "chicken")
Here's my take on the food:
The Cali Rolls were big, but MEH. The "crab" tasted and looked weird. I've never seen bright/neon pink crab before. Sketchy.
The Thai curry chicken was good (though I avoided the eggplant and bamboo shoots because I don't eat that stuff) EXCEPT for the "chicken."
What's up with putting " " for stuff that's supposed to be meat? It LOOKED like chicken, but sure as heck didn't taste like it. It tasted like a fish ball. Or my sister said meatball, but I don't know if she's smoking crack*, so her opinion is questionable.
This place is alright...if you're into "crab" and "chicken" :)
---------------------------
Sidenote:
If you pay in cash, there's a monthly special. When we went we all received a FREE Korean Roasted Barley Iced Tea which tasted like coffee. Not bad.
*my sister doesn't smoke crack. At least not that I know of...

I've been a loyal customer for 2 years until now. Mostly because of the countless times of getting my order wrong. Their green tea blends used to be the best thing I've ever tasted, now they have this new cheaper stuff and it has a very strong soapy flavor. The sweet and sour chicken and crispy rolls are amazing tho

I have been a Sipz fan for more than 4 years because where else can I get all veg-friendly chinese yumminess?
The only other place in the world that has equatable restaurants is Los Angeles (my fav veg chinese food place once existed in Elk Grove, CA but it sadly closed down one too many moons ago)... and I must say Sipz beats out the"Happy Family" restaurants in LA (except they don't have wontons).
The menu is "fusion" I suppose but I tend to stick with typical chinese dishes... I did venture out and have a hand roll this last go around because I was excited when Sipz expanded to serve sushi and I've been meaning to try it out... but I was somewhat creeped out by the faux "ham" in my handroll and probably won't do that again... I prefer my sushi from regular sushi joints sans fishies... no substitutes necessary.
The basil chicken is yumm yumm (just tried it for the first time) ... although I think they skimped out on the basil a bit... and I did add a possibly copious amount of sriracha but that isn't out of the ordinary for me. Orange chicken is very "orange-y" and although I've never had the real thing... I've heard it's very similar! Spring rolls are legit ... and I don't really think you can go wrong with much!
The clientele is always different everytime I come... and I always prefer an eclectic atmosphere. The servers are also always changing as is the service... I suppose I enjoy my food too much to notice?
The fortune cookies ARE vegan, although my last one was stale and I immediately spit it out and grabbed my friend's purse in search of gum. My fortune was something about romance so I'm still waiting on that... but I've surely had a love affair with my leftovers the last few days... :)

Sooo tasty for so cheap! Really great for college students. My friend from home used to take me to vegetarian places in the bay and now Sipz is the number one place to get my veg fix at school. If you're already acquainted with vegetarian cuisine, you'll love it here.

Wow...this place is unreal. I'm a new vegetarian so I decided to give it a try. My bf is big on meat but I dragged him along. I had the BBQ "chicken" and he had the Orange "chicken". I swear I thought it was real meat. Even my bf said if I had picked up the food and brought take-out home, he would have never known. The texture of the "meat" is so realistic. We kept inspecting it to make sure it wasn't the real thing. My bf ate all of his food and then finished mine off! The orange chicken was to die for. Then we had the banana cake with a warm coconut syrup and peanut topping. Delicious. This place is amazing. We both left full and satisifed. Don't know about complaints of service. They gave us our space, but periodically checked on us. The place was PACKED. Guess alot of people love it there. I'll be coming back!

Appearance:
Located right off the 805 North on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Sipz is located in on a long strip right before the freeway exit along with other restaurants such as VIP Buffet and Joe's Pizzeria. Sipz is right as the corner of the bend of the L-Shaped strip mall. It's unique font on the restaurant title makes it distinguishable from the other occupying suites. The entrance is on the left side of the suite and the glass windows has curtain coverings and there is a large menu posted right before the entrance. There is plenty of widely spaced parking spaces surrounding the joint.
Atmosphere:
As expected the atmosphere is pretty chill with seating arrangements that are fit for a couples dining or up to a group of 6 peoples. To my understanding, Sipz started off as a Boba cafe and expanded to a vegetarian restaurant which would explain the large section cart off in the middle of the place. Right at the entrance there are the cash registers to process and to-go orders and it seems customary to pay at the register after your meal. I assume this restaurant is family owned which is evidenced with most of the waitresses in the teens and college age range and are very approachable to ask for service.
Food:
Sorry meat lovers, the food may look like meat but its not. An initial response to vegetarian label was "tofurkey" but they actually did a nice job of tofu alternative meats such as shrimp, beef strips, and chicken, though the texture may be a little different for us meat eaters, the richness of the sauces does a great job of masking it. Most of the dishes that you will find here are the very similar to Chinese and Asian cuisines such as Pad Thai, Kung Pao Chicken and Brocoli Beef with the exception that meat isn't really meat, which isn't a bad thing considering the outside elements such as the sauces and sauteed vegetables are done well and makes the dishes quite tasty.
There have a lot of variety of Asian drinks such as soy milk and thai iced tea. I didn't noticed any alcoholic drinks on the menu. One really noticeable thing about their drinks is that their water cups are huge like i the 32 ounce range, which was a little disturbing at first but quite useful after a spicy dish.
Price:
Like most vegetarian places, most dishes at Sipz average around $10 - $15 and drinks are around $4 or less. If you are eating with a party of four or more I recommend on banking on their "family meals" which usually consist of a soup entree, a variety of stir fried entree and a pot of rice, which averaged out to be about $10 a person with drinks factored in, which isn't bad at all for a really filling meal.
Overall:
As a bonafide meatarian, Sipz was a great change of pace in terms of protein choice and brilliantly combined common Asian dishes with a meatless alternative. Sipz is a fine place to bring a date or couple of friends to experience a vegetarian cuisine that is not too far out of the norm.

We've eaten here several times and for vegetarian cuisine it is fantastic. The Orange Chicken is better than most places that use Real Chicken! Drunken noodles great, Veggie Spring Rolls Good. The Veggie Sushi is eh, but you can't have everything. It's reasonably priced as well. The only thing that keeps this from being a FIVE STAR place is the service which is TWO STAR at best.

I guess I can't complain too much about this place, but I'll explain why this isn't a 5 star establishment.
I went here with some vegetarian friends because we had heard nothing but good things here. It's kind of Thai, a little Chinese, and the rest is all other, balls-out Asian.
I decided to get a vegetarian dish and though "Hey, I like orange chicken, I'll try the fake orange chicken." Big mistake. It wasn't bad, but being a meat eater, I thought it was kind of chewy and the consistency was a little off. I guess it was a pretty good chicken substitute because every now and then I'll get a craving for it, but I haven't been back in a while.
The food according to my friends wasn't bad. They liked it, but it was nothing extremely special. We left satisfied.
The next day my friend had to go to the ER because she found out she couldn't process broccolis. This has nothing to do with the restaurant, but it was because she had some sort of broccoli and tofu dish that she realized this and eventually she had some part of or insides removed or fixed or something. I don't remember.
I guess I should go back and write an update.

With so many reviews already that cover the gambit I'll keep it simple.
My usual order is Spicy Basil with tofu. This dish tastes best when your feeling guilty of eating too much junk, fried, processed food and you just want to eat healthier. A nice simple rice bowl dish with some spicy basil sauce stir-fried with veggies and tofu. Needless to say after a weekend of BBQ, ballpark food, drive-thru, greasy spoon and hole in the wall Mexican food this is the place I head to after work on Monday.
The service is usually good but can be slow during dinnertime when it can take awhile before someone checks on how your doing, maybe that's why I take my food to go or just do lunch.
Oh, and don't forget to pay in cash to get a free drink of the month.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoy our Sipz experiences. While there have been a few dishes that haven't wowed us, there is just so many good choices to choose from that it doesn't matter much. We've only eaten in the restaurant once and the service was marginal. Normally we order take-out and avoid any of the service issues. The checkout people are very nice.

Sat evening was my first trip to Sipz...my friends all LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Our plan was actually to eat at Jyoti down in Normal Heights but due to scheduling issues (really, another retreat? and you're closed... again?). Anyway, Sipz was a great alternative and we didn't miss the neatloaf one bit once we started grazing on the good eats. Here is my assessment a la "hot" or "not":
1) Sunshine Bun - "NOT"....the sun didn't shine on this bun, or it dried it out since it was dry and tasteless unless you use plenty of cock sauce (red spicy sauce)...hmmm, funny, the waittress did say you needed to drown it in the sauce, so maybe next time I should use that as a clue NOT to order it!!!
2) Gyoza - Pan fried. "NOT"
3) Tom Kah Kai (sp?) "NOT" Kind of bland. My taste buds are used to the awesome, flavorful soup of Sang Dao Thai (http://www.yelp.com/bi...)
4) BBQ "chicken"...."HOT". I think this app with a side of brown rice would make a great entree...and maybe some veggies for good measure and to have a "balanced" meal.
5) Spicy Basil with "chicken". "HOT"....but where's the basil? Me thinks they forgot it on our dish, it was tasty nevertheless and not spicy even though we asked for spicy and were wearing our "habaneros are for wimps" t-shirts.
6) Eggplant delite. "HOT" and delightful. Kind of greasy. I see now how there are lots of big-boned-ed-ed aka Husky vegetarians...yikes!!!
Overall 3 "hots" and 3 "nots" yield an A-OK rating. I'm looking forward to trying other dishes. Thai iced tea was tasty...I wish it came in the big ass glasses that they serve water in.

I've gone to this place quite a few times. I have to say the quality can be hit or miss at times. My favorite dish is the Thai Curry Chicken & rice. When they make it well, the mock chicken is delicious. About 2 of the 8-10 times that I've gone, I experienced they overcooked the mock chicken so it was kind of tough and chewy. Their mango with sweet rice dessert is delicious and fresh.
Some other good dishes:
*Stir-fried eggless noodles (large portioin & light tasting)
Vegetarian potstickers (simple, but good)
Not a fan of their Pad Thai dish.
They stand out for being a veggie restaurant. It's a neat & fun experience.
Food is great for vegans, vegetarians and carnivorous types. Almost all the plates, drinks and desserts are delicious.
I've been coming here for over a year now several times a month, sometimes twice a week. The food keeps me coming but for as long as I can remember the service is horrible.
Expect to be ignored. I've learned to just be pushy because all the waitresses are clueless. Thank god for the big cups.
Also prices have gone up a lot in the last year. & I've heard lots of talk of treating their staff poorly/paying horribly/splitting tips unfairly. This bums me out the most.
BUT the food is so good I can't stop going.
We had to walk out the service was so awful one afternoon. Your best bet is getting it to go to enjoy is deliciousness without your experience being soured by not being helped and not getting your order right. Every time we go now, our server is innatentive and doesn't get something right, and ignores us forever. And fails to take our drink order, things like that. I do have to give them props because one day the woman sitting at the counter finally came up to us and let us know she wasnt supposed to help us, and got our drink order, and eventually got our food order since the person who was supposed to help us didnt.
Everyone has been having this issue lately... and it wont stop me from giving them business, but it for sure wont stop me from bitching about it! If you plan on partaking in eating their yum food, I recommend you do it from the comfort of your own home.

After I moved away from Portland, I thought my Vegetarian House would never be replaced, boy was I… Read more »
I feel like this place is overrated by my vegan friends.
The food is good. But not amazing. Almost all dishes I have tried were good. The only thing worth mentioning is the sushi. Fake fish scares me, but the most expensive sushi roll (I cant find it on the website) was pretty delicious.
The servings can be a little small.
Sometimes I wonder if the sauces are the jarred sauces you can get at 99 Ranch market. (IE the sweet and sour and the orange chicken)
Hi, I tried this place on a Saturday evening and really liked it. Although I read on Yelp mixed reviews of the service, I had very friendly and accurate service on my visit. I ordered the Baked Inari as an appetizer, the House Special tofu as an entree, and chose the Vegan Banana Cake as a dessert. All three items were marvelous, especially the Baked Inari and the Banana Cake. The baked inari had pieces of veggie ham but mostly had cream cheese (not sure if it was real cheese or not, it tasted real!), along with some sort of orangey-red sauce on it (my exact memory of the color may be wrong). The important thing was it tasted great. I'm not a huge fan of creme cheese, although I do like it, but if you do happen to like cream cheese, you'll LOVE the Baked Inari!
The description for the House Special Tofu stated that the tofu was a special Taiwanese tofu not commonly seen in restaurants here and sure enough the tofu WAS different than a normal tofu (much more firm and darker in color) but tasted a lot like tofu, maybe a little more filling than normal). The sauce wasn't too special (I ordered it mild, perhaps the sauce is more interesting if it's made spicier), but it was fairly tasty and not too heavy. The vegetables weren't anything to get too excited about, except for the mushrooms (I'm a huge fan of mushrooms!) but there was some celery and red bell peppers, if I remember correctly.
What was really special was the Vegan Banana Cake I ordered for dessert. When she served it, it looked nothing like a banana cake like you get in an American restaurant but looked more like a thin pie like you might get at a fancy dessert place. It was delightful to look at with a white coconut based sauce swirled beautifully over it. It tasted even better than it looked, which is saying something if you saw a picture of it--I wish I brought a camera! I highly recommend this dessert! Overall, my rating is closer to 4 1/2 or even 5, but I'm not comfortable giving 5 star ratings as a rule to places I visit for the first time. A couple more experiences like this first time though and my rating goes up!

Good food, poor service: First off, I like meat! This place satisfies well enough. I don't recommend getting anything not covered in sauce or breading if you are expecting real meat-like. That being said, the orange chicken -- yum, I crave it and drive here especially for it. The fresh chow mein noodles are good, too.
Not much for kids, I've asked. ONE time I had a great server that brought me a fruit plate for my daughter, all other servers say they "don't do that." Other than that, noodles, rice, and fake meat, if you're kids like it, mine don't.
Service is poor, several times I've been waiting for water, forks, my check, or even the server to take the order. I've tipped the busser on many occasion because he did everything besides take the order, including bring the food and check. I keep going back for the orange chicken.
So i'm a carnivore. A meat eater. A Person Eating Tasty Animals (haha.. i know. that was bad). But I think I can handle eating meatless foods after trying out Sipz. I had pad thai with tofu and oh man was it good! I had the green tea with soy milk and boba and it was pretty good although the only complaint I had about it was that the ice wasn't blended well enough.

I was super excited to come to this place. I was thinking YAY another vegetarian place for me to eat at. I am not vegetarian but I do love me some veggies!
Anyhow so I'm excited because the menu sounds off the hook.
I ordered myself that steam bowl. Brown rice, broccoli, mushrooms, bok choy, baby corn, carrots, water chestnuts, and tofu. I know sounds bland...and it WAS! They could have added some flavor man. Since my dish tasted a bit bland I then proceeded to order the "chicken" drumsticks. Bland again. Good it came with a chili sauce or else my whole meal would have been ruined. Oh man...I was bummed. Their fake meat sucks balls.
This place is alright. People hype it up too much. I do however want to give this place a second chance. Just like Donald Trump gave Tara Conner her second chance. I'll try the thai fried rice and see what's up.
Just a heads up the meal is much cheaper for lunch than dinner. It's 7.25 lunch, and dinner is 8.55. Highway robbery I tell ya. Geez man.
Go for lunch. Warning overrated.

I'm so fortunate to have this Vege friendly haunt around the corner from where I work.
Boba tea (AKA Bubble Tea) makes me a happy, slappy, pinchy box of fun. It's great to interrupt the work day with a cool, sippy bubbly drink that does not contribute to tooth decay or contain sodium benzoate or Phenylalanine. My rejuvenated soul continues the work day in an elated state which in turn, positively effects my productivity, which then strengthens the profitability of the company.
The food is good to, lots of zesty taste without the afternoon food coma and watery, bloat.

Overall the place was good. It has a cute atmosphere and the food isn't too bad. It was my first experience at a vegetarian restaurant. I had the orange chicken and it was tasty. I wish they had given me a knife though. For dessert I had the sweet rice and mango and that was okay. The dessert came highly recommended to me but I didn't think it was that great. My friends had the banana bread and even though it smelled delicious, I didn't think it was that great and plus I had to get over the fact that it was green.
They give you insanely huge glasses of water, probably so they never have to refill them, which they don't.
My biggest complaint is the restroom. This may not seem like a big deal to many, but you had to go into the storage area to get to the restroom. The freezer was basically 2 steps away. It was clean enough to use, but next time I would probably hold it until I got home.
Why do so many Asian food restaurants have these same damn paper placemats with the Chinese zodiac animals?
Anyway, this place has some of the best veg food in San Diego. I've brought lots of meat-eaters here and they've really liked it - most can't even tell it's fake meat! If you are looking for a place to show people that vegetarian food can taste great, this is where to come.
Usually I've found to be Sipz service to be very fast. It's one of my favorite places to go to get great food when I don't have a lot of time to be eating out. However, even when the food comes out quickly, it can be hard to get a server to come to your table for anything. Still, I think the GREAT food very much outweighs the iffy service.
The "chicken" is the best fake meat they have. My faves are the wok-fried drunken noodles, BBQ chicken bowl, Japanese fire noodles (you can get them not too spicy if you want), teriyaki chicken bowl, soft chow mein, and orange chicken. The pot stickers are a fantastic appetizer. The boba slushies are great (particularly strawberry and pineapple), especially on a hot day!
Bottom line: awesome veg food (great to show off to meat-eaters), typically quick service, good prices, and plenty of parking. Sometimes the service can be poor, but this place is still worth it.

This is a 100% vegetarian restaurant w/ many vegan choices. It is mainly asian inspired. My favorite drink is the hot vanilla chai. My 2nd favorite dish so far is the orange "chicken". The eggplant delight however was not so delightful, it's just too spicy for me. They offer "sushi" after 5pm. My absolute favorite dish is the caterpillar "sushi" it really looks like a caterpillar ! It's got avocado,yam,mushroom...delicious !
It's very casual. My minor complaint is that the food is never served hot, just warm. My major complaint is the wait staff, some r nice enough & others seem to hate their job. :( This makes my dining experience a little sad. Quite often I just get my tasty dish to go,warm it in the microwave & life is good.

it's really nice that you can pick what kind of "meat" you want or just get tofu or vegetables. It's a great place to take people who aren't vegetarians too. The restaurant itself is really cute. There's a mural on the back wall and my 4 year old cousin loved it. They sell really cute shirts that say "vegetarian" or "vegan" on them. i've got a couple.

I was thinking about you today and I thought I would let you in on some new and exciting news. I can't remember if I told you about these most amazing drinks I've been having lately, so I figured I'd have to send you this letter.
There is this neat restaurant called Sipz I've been meaning to tell you about. I know you are always looking to find something new and amazing and superduper-yummalicious, so I think you should try Sipz very own "Boba" drinks.
They come in the following:
* Boba Slusheez: Strawberry, mango, lychee, peach, green apple, pineapple, watermelon, passion fruit, pina colada & pralinez n cream
* Boba Milk Tea: Strawberry, mango, watermelon, peach, taro, original milk, chai (spiced or vanilla) and Thai tea
Anyhow. I hope you are well and happy. Have a great rest of your day friend.
Always,
Diana

Just so you know, the Boba Milks dominate over the Boba Slusheez!! oh-snap.

Very similar to The Wheel of Life in Irvine this is one of the few veggie spots in San Diego that I really like. I don't eat there that often cause it's a bit of a drive from my place, but they just opened a fast food version at a food court that's a lot closer.
I do have to agree about the lack of service sometimes. Not so much when I order, but more after my meal has been served. Not getting my water refilled or checking up to see how the meal is.
Other than that the food is great and it's always a treat when I go.
ANOTHER NORMAN R. SENSATION. I was turned on to Sipz by my buddy Norman and AM SO DAMN HAPPY about heading over to Sipz. Recommendation: Teriyaki "Chicken" with brown rice and a Mango Ice Tea (the tea so reminded me of the childhood Mexican candy I used to devour when i was a kid, sans-LEAD) the food was awesome, unfortunately my friends order broccoli beef which was nasty and won-ton soup that was "eh" the place is awesome with food, but the service seems disappointed at life. The service here definitely does not come with a smile, but your there for the food anyway. I think this place is awesome that the food names are normal with the meat actually all being fake (except the shrimp in one dish) but they warn you ahead of time if dish is not vegan. HERBIVORES UNITE!!!

I guess a good disclaimer is that i LOVE meat... that being said, this was OK, but nothing more. I just moved here from Chicago (where most of us have never even heard of a vegetarian-only restaurant, let alone conceived of faux meat).
My non-carnivorous friend dragged me here, proclaiming that if I were ever going to learn to appreciate a veggie diet, this is a good place to start. Well, not that I would ever consider a veggies-only diet, but if I were, this place would certainly not be what pushed me over the edge. I ordered the "most popular noodle dish", the soft chowmein... seriously? This is best a vegetarian place can do with a noodle dish? Not bad, don't get me wrong... only I could have made it myself with more flavor. The tofu was pretty decent and I did try a piece of my friend's "chicken" from her pad thai... eh... I will stick to the real thing. My friends boda (?) drink was out of this world, very yummy. I had this crappy feeling after we left though. The food was heavy and I didn't even finish half my dish, but I felt like I was in an MSG-induced coma until after I left the gym.
The wait staff was fairly crappy... pretty sure they don't even want you there. By far the worst I have experienced so far in Cali. Not saying I wouldn't go back and try a different dish, but just nothing spectacular.

I've been here many times but am finally writing a review about the place.
Good points for me...
Central location (between work and home)
Lots of available parking, although you do have to be careful coming out of that parking lot
Huge water glasses
Large portions
Reasonable prices
YUMMY! I am not normally that fond of mock shrimp or chicken but they do a damn good job making it look and feel like the real thing. And it tastes pretty good, too.
Not so good...
The waitstaff is unpredictable...sometimes a good one and then other times not so friendly and you are completely ignored. Well, let me rephrase that...once you get your order taken it is like pulling teeth to get someone to check back in with you. Just because you have a full water glass doesn't mean there aren't going to be other things we might need. We asked for plates so we could share. After getting frustrated when we didn't get them the second time one of my friends waved her hands in the air like crazy till someone couldn't ignore us. We finally got our plates but by then we had already eaten most of our food.
Just make sure you aren't in a rush to get out of there. I am giving it 4 stars because of the food and not the service. I am even going back today to take a friend that's never been there. Hopefully this will be a good experience for her first time.

there's been a thread or two about the declining service at Sipz, and, after many visits, I'm reluctantly agreeing with the assessment. the waiters seem to be both in a hurry and inattentive, which is sorta puzzling. the food still tastes the same (thank goodness), but it's a bit frustrating to wait forever for anyone waiter/waitress to talk to you once you've been seated. thankfully, i live a few blocks down, so i just get my food to go and enjoy eating pants-less instead.

I like the place and the food is pretty decent. I won an office bet and had my coworkers take me here for my winning lunch. They got hooked on the place. Some of the favorites are the drunken noodles, the kung pao "chicken", Thai curry, and the mango boba slushy. It's really affordable; lunch is $7.25 and they usually have a monthly beverage special where you get a free tea if you pay with cash.
Headed out here with some friends after church. I was super skeptical and really wasn't expecting very much. I hand in mind a bland, uninteresting, and boring meal, but since other people wanted to try it, and I didn't have a craving for anything else, we headed over.
First impression was that their water glasses are huge...like 32oz size...haha. My wife ordered the divine garlic dish at the "hot" spicy level. She liked her dish, but admitted that the "hot" was nothing close to "hot," so don't expect this to meet your cravings for spicy food. I had the soft chowmein dish (noodles with vegetables and tofu). I thoroughly enjoyed the food, it was actually tasty, good sized portion, and I felt healthy after it (probably partly psychological).
Slightly overpriced in my opinion at about 7.25$ a person before tax/tip. They also enforced the 18% gratuity on our group of 6 which was...a little eh...but whatever. They do need to fix their sign as it reads "getarian" instead of "vegetarian" at night...haha.
