This place awesome!  They have a wide variety of sandwiches, and they always turn out perfect.  Whenever I am in Ocean Beach and I want a sandwich, this is where I go.  Not only do they have a wonderful deli, but a wide selection of wine, beer, cheese, snacks, and just about anything else you might want.  Beware however, this stuff is more on the pricey side...but the sandwiches are well-priced (and filling).

Very friendly staff.  And don't forget to try one of the cookies they sell by the cash register...they're delicious.

Everyone is quite nice and it has been consistent. I am always aware of a great atmosphere and they have it.

It's three stores in one.  First, a corner bodega (if not a little upscale)  including fresh produce, fresh breads and a (tiny) meat counter.  Second, a liquor store, offering obscure microbrews and tons of wine choices.  And the perfect cheese to go with whatever great wine you choose.  Mmm, cheese.  Seriously, any kind of cheese you could ever want, you'll find it here.  Finally, the deli.  Oh, the deli.  Great, great sandwiches.  They also serve breakfast, though they're not open as early as I'd like them to be.  Staff is great, service is usually pretty prompt.  Nice little outside seating area.

Best sandwiches in OB.  Yes, better than Pomas.  (Unless you want to order a meatball sub, in which case that's a whole different revew.)  I get the OB Special on wheat.  The Roma Pasta Salad is pretty tasty, too.

Order your sandwich and peruse the extensive beer & wine selection while you wait.  They have all kinds of beer and wine you'd be hard pressed to find at the liquor store across the street.

4 stars because you'll have to take out a home equity loan just to buy a can of pineapples.  But it's nice to be able to appease your snooty bread and fancy-pants cheese loving side without leaving OB.

(& if you're on Yelp, you KNOW you have a snooty side.... no point denying.)

I love this place!  It has fresh fruits and vegetables, gourmet cheeses, canned goods, and delightful wine and drink beverages.

I go here at least 3 times a week.

Convienent, friendly, good deli.

A little pricey but worth it.

Best. Deli Sandwiches. Evar.
Microbrews galore.
Vino nirvana.
Cheese! The GOOD KINDS!

If I could afford to do ALL my shopping here, I would. Instead, I usually come for a FANTASTIC sandwich and brew to nom on the outdoor patio. Or to pick up the things that are expensive or hard to find by nature. I typically avoid the $3 boxes of $1.50 pasta though. At least I WANT to make enough money to pay that much for this kind of shopping experience, even if I can't.

Great sandwiches, especially the Cordon Blu (spelling??).  Nice selection of beers, specialty sodas and neat snacks.

Wine and cheese in OB, oh my. Oh my, oh my. Olive Branch, where is the Pabst? Where is the Keystone Light? Are you not living the High Life? You have Champagne but where is the Champagne of beers?

The service was like the treatment an Olympic archer gets even though I wanted to be treated, at least, like a pole jumper. But I think I know why. I was wearing shoes that day. Yes, it was one of those very rare days that yours truly was wearing shoes outside of work. The de facto motto in SD is "No sandals, No service" and unfortunately, that policy was exercised on me. Bluddy hell!!

Another reviewer said this place was upscale and it is.  Nice deli, fabulous wine selection, plus fresh veges and the basics you'd want at your corner market.  Yummy coffee.  Great & friendly staff.  Pleasant.

Upscale and O.B. ... baaaaahhahahhaa...

No seriously it is. I know this cause i shop here and i consider myself to be upscale and OB. This place is a great little market and would be perfect in many other upscale and overpriced places like Boca Raton, Aspen, Beverly Hills or St. Moritz.

I buy my $7 thing of upscale goat cheese here and smear it on a $3 seedy sourdough bagette they sell that's shipped in fresh everyday from a snooty bakery in Hillcrest called Bread and Cie.

I buy very overpriced wine here like a donkey as well. I know i should drive 10 more minutes down the street and go to Baron's or Trader Joe's... but i'm seriously lazy. So i shop here instead. I prefer to pay upscale prices for quality goods in exchange for my shear and utter lack of motivation.

I will pay out my ass for milk, eggs and penut butter as well cause i ain't taking my snobby ass to another store. No chance.

They also have a great selection of quality meats.. i love their overpriced Kabob's! The steak ones are excellent and run out quick! So don't drag your ass and expect to get them right before dinner time. They go perfect with many of the other upscale and over-priced items in the store!

They bake their own cookies too!! They're great when you wouldn't dare take the time to actually bake cookies like me..  so i take these $3 treats home and quickly heat them up in my upscale and overpriced microwave. Voila! Mr. Fields!

Bottom line.. if you're a pretentious, LAZY glutton like me and don't care about prices in exchange for quality and convenience... shop here! It's totally overpriced! But totally upscale ... and convienent!

I lived for two years in the apartment complex that looked over the parking lot for the Olive Tree Market. So many trips down the stairs to grab some wine, snacks, etc. It wasn't ever big enough to go shopping there for everything, but having it there for a loaf of bread, a SD Reader, a sandwhich, or just whatever you need, it was awesome. Always good looking staff, and if I ate chicken I'd be in heaven (They ALWAYS seemed to be cooking some succulent rotisseries chicken). Just a great little corner market that has everything you're looking for and a GREAT wine selection. Also has a cool side patio area to eat the sandwich you just bought and enjoy the view of the corner of Narragansette and Sunset Cliffs.

I like this market because I want to do my part to shop local in OB. Yah right! Ha Ha I do like it though. They have pretty good deli with decent sandwiches. I like their snack selection. I can usually put together some decent appetizers out of this place. Come on fellow OBcians, do your part to shop OB. OK if you knew me, you would know what a smart ass comment this is. Seriously though, it's a decent little local corner market.

Great wine shop with a deli.  I haven't eaten at the deli but I have bought rotisserie chickens when in need of a quick dinner fix.  Also, there are ALWAYS people eating at the three tables outside.  It's also a market so you can pick up various things you may need to fix...say...something for a small dinner party: cheeses, sausage, frozen foods, snacks, etc.

Mostly I would go to purchase wine.  If you're like me and don't know too much about wine this place is great.  I felt fine standing there like an idiot because the place is too OB for you to feel like you might get snubbed by the guys who work there.  Those guys are always helpful. Many of the wines have a tag with the wine's reviews and points, too.

What a fabulous neighborhood market... amazing wine deals and upscale deli choices. I'd be here daily like my OBcian pals if only I lived close enough! If you're in the 'hood it's definitely worth stopping in.

I love this neighborhood market!  Chris, the owner and a local, has excellent choices in wine at fair prices.  Great place to pick up sandwiches made to order, some gourmet chips and something to drink.  Then head out to the cliffs to watch the sunset.  Yeay Chris!

Great "little big market" as their sign used to proclaim. Beats driving twenty minutes for El Indio chips/tortillas, Salsa Chilena, Solunto bread or other local specialties. They have convenient $5 roasters for quick and lazy dinners and a great wine selection with good deals.  The sandwiches are decent (Sunset Cruiser?), but I prefer Brown Bag or Poma's--a mat of shredded lettuce and oil tends to take the fresh Solunto roll down a peg. My bad for never holding it, I guess.

The best sandwiches in San Diego?  I think so - I always go for the Picasso on a Solunto roll.  Of course, if it weren't for the great people behind the counter, it wouldn't be the same.  I am fortunate to have this place so close to where I live.  I take everyone here
