Other than the festival (I have a three day pass) any other bars/clubs to check out?  New restaurants?

Here are the coolest bars I've visited and heard about:
1) The Continental Club
2) Barfly's
3) Long Branch Inn
4) Peacock Lounge
As for restaurants, Guerro's is a must. Check out the vintage stores on South Congress and North Loop (East 53rd street), too.
